Manufactured in 1988, operations started in 1989 at a former machine-tool manufacturer. It remained inoperative from 1999 to 2002; it was started up at our plant in the first quarter of 2005.
Work range and features: table width 1500 mm; tangential grinding width 2000 mm; vertical grinding width, with headstock rotation, 1700 mm; distance between the two uprights 2000 mm; grinding height 1500 mm; grinding length 7000 mm; admissible load on table 14,000 kg; the table is moved hydraulically.
Tangential grinding headstock, type S30, maximum grinding power 22 kW; grinding wheel size 600×150 mm; 700 rpm continuous operation.
Universal grinding headstock, type S30, maximum grinding power 7.5 kW; grinding wheel size 500×60 mm; 600 to 2500 rpm continuous operation; automatic headstock indexing ± 110°.
Automatic grinding wheel dresser, with Hirt angular adjustment in steps of 5 degrees and ± 90° indexing.
Vertical cambering machine, for concave or convex operation referred to the aggregate grinding length. It was totally overhauled in 2004, with: replacement of worn parts and thorough mechanical rectification; geometric setup by means of optical collimator; retrofitting with a Siemens 840D CNC, plus a new electric cabinet with total remake of electric and guarding systems to CE standards.
